About Cassandra Jones

Cassandra has the broad background and experience to keep Douglas County safe.  As an experienced attorney, she has handled criminal matters and civil matters — litigating and appearing in the Douglas County Courts and surrounding rural courts for over 15 years.  She is also the only candidate who has served in a judicial capacity, as a Court-certified arbitrator, a mediator, and from the bench as Justice of the Peace Pro Tem.

Cassandra has owned and operated her own business for over seven years, taking on the responsibility of managing staff and a heavy caseload while meeting strict budgets.  She is the only candidate who has worked as a lawyer in private practice, managed staff, made payroll, and overseen strict budgets.

Cassandra is married to her junior high sweetheart, Evan.  Through Evan, their children are sixth generation Douglas County-ites.  Evan and Cassandra choose to raise their family in Douglas County, moving home only eight days after she graduated law school.  Evan and Cassandra have resided in their home in Gardnerville for over 15 years, where they are raising their elementary school-aged daughter and middle school-aged son.  They are active in their community and a local church.
