I am honored and overwhelmed by the broad community support that I have received this year. Thank you to everyone who participated in this process, and cast their vote. I am honored to serve as Douglas County’s next Justice of the Peace, and the first woman to be on the bench in our county. I will continue to stand by my platform: the law will be fairly and equally applied to all persons in my courtroom, sentences will be consistently enforced, and victims will be empowered to seek and receive the protection to which they are entitled.
I had the opportunity to meet so many wonderful people throughout the county, and regardless of who you voted for I am committed to serving with excellence, integrity and wisdom. I also want to acknowledge Erik Levin, a man who has served our county as prosecutor for over 10 years. He ran an honorable campaign, and should be commended.
